Five Literary Magazines to Submit to this Week!

1. The Mark Literary Review

The Mark is an online magazine that's always open for submissions! We never charge a fee to submit your work. We're down to read anything! There isn't a specific theme you need to adhere to, but we are most interested in reading creative writing that tears your heart out. Send in your best poetry or short stories and we'll get back to you within two weeks (sometimes sooner). We do not accept previously published work, but we do accept simultaneous submissions. 2. untethered

untethered is a, "Toronto-based literary journal publishing poetry, prose, visual art, and work that blurs those lines, from emerging and established writers." untethered is a print magazine and they are accepting submissions until July 12th. Visit their website here.


3. On Loan from the Cosmos

On Loan from the Cosmos is a, "literary magazine celebrating radical self-acceptance of everything that comprises who we are in our entirety." They are looking for personal essays of up to 2,000 words, comics of up to 10 pages, art in any medium, poetry, and individuals who would like to be interviewed about radical self-acceptance. 4. Cloud Lake Literary


Cloud Lake Literary is a new magazine open for submissions from Canadian authors. They are accepting fiction, creative nonfiction, poetry, and children's literature (up to and including YA). Submit before June 30th to be considered for their September release. Check out their website here.


5. From Whispers to Roars

From Whispers to Roars is a, "Denver-based arts, culture, and literary magazine." They were founded in 2018, and their audience is around 25,000 readers, writers, and artists. Each Wednesday, they open their Submittable for poetry, fiction, nonfiction, art, and photography that explores life after Covid-19. They charge $3 per submission.
